Paying Homage to Self Care

by Cadi on October 4, 2011

photo credit to Simon Howden / freedigitalphotos.netI recently started ‘Coaches Corner’ here on my blog to have Coaches of all kinds share some tips and tricks with my readers on life and business.  Sandi Amorim kicked it off with The Power of Feeling Good.  We were really excited about the response to this post but more so because it got us thinking about our own self care.  So, we thought that we would take it a step further!  It’s time to pay homage to self care.

Homage = Respect or Reverence Paid

Self Care = Care for Oneself

Now, Sandi is a Passionate Coach,  I am a Passionate Consultant.

For you reading this, are Passionate in what you do as well.

Chances are you are focused and there for others.  Giving of your time and energy.  Giving is Good!  I believe that we were made for that! To help each other along in this life.  That said, if we are not taking care of ourselves… we are not good for helping others.  We’ve heard it once, we’ve hear it a thousand times!

That is why this month of October we are Paying Homage to Self Care.

Sandi will be writing over at Deva Coaching and also posting over here!

Since we love doing things in community, and we know accountability Rocks we are going to spend this month on a Self Care Challenge!

At the end fo the month, Sandi will give away 3 coaching sessions to follow up on all the wonderful self care practices that we’ve begun to implement!

But that’s not all!  The posts Sandi shares over here are graciously sponsored by those that are passionate about self care as well!  You’ll have to stay tuned for those surprises ;)

There are 3 Ways to Play, Participate and Win and we may just be generous with some bonus entry possibilities!

We are looking really forward to this!  By October 31st, winners of all of Sandi’s coaching packages and Jordan Consulting prizes will be drawn.  So be sure to watch here and over at Deva Coaching for an Amazing month of looking after ourselves!

Here’s to your success and a better, healthy self!

I’m renewing some of the exercises I did for my shoulders last year which I’ve slowed down on. I’m contemplating my relationship with maintenance tasks in personal, household and business areas. I’ve declared noon to 5pm a non-phone-answering time, letting the machine take calls (this is huge, very hard for me to do but already changing my life).  I’m working with Sandi on my solopreneurial business, and taking her good questions to heart.

I bought myself some art supplies… sort of crayons but better. I don’t draw… I’m a 3D artist, but I love the feel of crayons in my hand. I’m disappointed at children’s crayons, their lack of color intensity… so today went to the art supply store and got $10 of three different types of color sticks to try out. Now to dig out a sketch book and play!
